Sharon Ledford, 58, of Hayesville died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at her residence. She was a native of Clay County. Sharon had worked as a seamstress in the garment industry.

She was the daughter of Eula Mae Moss McAllister of Hayesville and the late Randall Hanes McAllister. She was also preceded in death by a son, Shane Ledford, who died in 2000; a sister, Peggy McAllister; and a brother, Ricky McAllister.

Surviving, in addition to the mother, are two daughters, Amelia Ledford of Hayesville and Peggy Celena Ledford of Andrews;  six sisters, Darlene Hogsed, Lahoma Morgan, Jackie Norton, Gladys McAllister, Linda Dickey, and Luchretia Martin all of Hayesville; two brothers, Ronnie Stroud of Hiawassee, Georgia, and Steve McAllister of Mexico; and three grandchildren, and a great grandchild.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Clark Moss officiating.
