Milton G. “Panama” Stroup, 94, of Murphy died Friday, May 8, 2015 in a Murphy care facility. He was a native of Whitfield County, Georgia, but had lived in Tampa, Florida most of his life before moving to Cherokee County in 1970. Milton was a retired driver for Lance Trucking in Blue Ridge, Georgia. He enjoyed going to the flea market.

He was the son of the late William E. and Lucy Freylach Stroup and the husband of the late Lottie Stroup.

Surviving is a step-granddaughter, Charlene Davidson and husband, Mark of Murphy.
