David W. Rix, age 76, of Murphy, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016. David was a US Navy Veteran and retired from Martin Marietta.  David had a strong faith in the Lord!

David was the son of the late Ferris and Georgia Fitzwater Rix.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Rohler.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda Rix; two daughters, Katherine Dunn and Shanda Grooms and husband, Chris; two sons, James Rix and wife, Suzy, and James “Thadd” Minton and wife, Terri; the mother of his children, Judith Rix; two brothers, Ramon Rix and wife, Toby, and Robert Rix and wife Graceanne; five grandchildren, Christopher Daniels, Melissa Garrison, Kristin Reighley, Tritin Stephens, and Riane Potts.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 at Sanner Funeral Home, 800 So. Alex Road, West Carrollton, Ohio with Pastor Pete Creamer officiating.  The interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton.

The family received friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday prior to the service.
