Rose Martellaro Schena, 97, of Topton died Monday, May 31, 2010 at a Murphy medical center.  She had lived in Pompano Beach, FL since 1960 and had spent her summers in Macon County.  She was a member of the St. Coleman’s Catholic Church in Pompano Beach.

She was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Zambito Martellaro and wife of the late Samuel Schena, who died in 1994.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane Kennedy and husband, Eugene of Pompano Beach, FL and Annette Balaz and husband, Alex of Boca Raton, FL; a son, Donald Schena and wife, Pamela of Denver, CO; and eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Pompano Beach, FL.
