Christine Holloway, 90, of Hickory died Sunday, July 25, 2010. She was a native of Macon County, but had lived in Catawba County for the past 37 years. She had worked as a nurse’s aide and was a member of the Hickory Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Milas and Idene Morgan Pendergrass and the wife of the late Champ C. Holloway, who died March 2, 1998.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Clarke and husband, Robert of Morganton, NC; a son, Carroll K. Holloway and wife, Diane of Hickory; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 28 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Rev. S.J. Waters officiating. Interment was in Aquone Baptist Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Thomas Laws, Jack Laws, Michael Ross, David Holloway, Carroll Holloway Jr., and Wayne Mason.

The family received friends from 11-12:45 Wednesday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.
