Phil Coleman, 64, of Murphy died Tuesday, April 26, 2011.  He was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County. Phil was a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Franklin.

He was the son of the late Fletcher F. and Irene Callie Hedden Coleman.

Surviving are a sister, Cora Mills of Murphy; a niece, Pam Bryson of Murphy; and a great niece, Jessie Bryson of Murphy.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 PM Saturday, April 30, 2011 in Old Martins Creek Cemetery with Rev. Aud Brown officiating. Pallbearers were Arnold Bradshaw, David Hall, Tracy Bryson, Jeff and Zach Robertson, and Kenneth Mills.

The family received friends from 1-2 Saturday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
