Elayne V. Pulskamp, 63, of Andrews died Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center.  She was a native of Canton, OH, but had grown up in Marathon, FL.  She lived most of her life in Broward County, Florida before moving to Andrews four years ago.  She was a homemaker and had worked 15 years as a legal secretary.  She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and had been active in the St. Vincent DePaul Society and Meals on Wheels.  Elayne was a talented and classically trained pianist.  She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

She was the daughter of the late Alex and Mary Vance.

Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Arthur Pulskamp; three sons, Eric Pulskamp and wife Shannon of Flintstone, GA, Andrew Pulskamp and wife Kelly Ann of Lancaster, PA, and Jeffrey Pulskamp and wife Sarah of Bethesda, MD; a brother, Douglas Vance and wife Joyce of Marietta, GA; and three grandchildren.

A memorial mass was held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 27, 2011 in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Brandon Jones officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Elayne V. Pulskamp to the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 214 Aquone Road, Andrews, NC 28901, or the Cherokee County Food Bank, c/o Andrews Lions Club, PO Box 843, Andrews, NC 28901.
