Scott Dills, 44, of Nantahala Community, Topton died Sunday, July 28, 2013 in the Brian Center in Brevard. He had lived in Macon County most of his life. Scott attended the Bethel Hill Baptist Church.

He was the son of Eric K. Dills of Andrews and Cathy Wishon Dills Passmore of Nantahala. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ciera Rose “Rosebud” Dills.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Danielle Harris Dills; a step-father, Kenneth Passmore of Nantahala; a sister, Sharman Pratt of Topton; a brother, Stacy Dills of Newport, NC; the maternal grandmother, Julia Dills of Andrews; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in Bethel Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Darrell Dockery and Leroy Kelly officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Ethan Dills, Chuck Hedden, Larry and Mike Wishon, Darrell and Eric Dockery, Carl Lequire, Verlon Passmore, and J.D. Owenby. Honorary pallbearers were Skylar, Breanna, and Zoey Dills, and Hope and Kelly Dockery.

The family received friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews where the body was until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
