Tina “Tiny” Stewart, 86, of Hayesville passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 in an Atlanta, GA hospital. She was a native of Towns County, GA, before moving to Hayesville in 1960. She worked for Peachtree Products and Emerson Electric, before retiring. She was a member of Many Forks Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Edward Samuel and Gertrude King Hyatt, and the wife of the late John Arthur Stewart, who died March 12, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Hill as well as two sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Marshall and husband, Floyd of Piedmont, SC, and Elaine Mull and husband, Marvin of Hayesville; two step-sons, Alton Stewart of Maryland, and John Dale Stewart of Hayesville; two sisters, Edna Brown of Young Harris, GA, and Faye Huskins of Cartersville, GA; and six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Many Forks Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Stiles officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Randy and Ricky Marshall, Nathan Mull, and Johnny, Kyle, and Matthew Stewart. Honorary pallbearers were R.J. Hill, Jake Marshall, and Tommy and Sean Stewart.
The family received friends from 6-8 Monday evening, November 4, 2013 at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville where the body remained until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
