Richard Grandelli Sr., 65, of Murphy passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Brooklyn, New York, where he worked in the printing industry and also as a long distance trucker. Richard moved to Murphy in 1995. He served in both the United States Army and Navy. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing. Richard was a member of Local No. 1 ALA.

He was the son of the Ernest and Loretta DiBlasie Grandelli.

Surviving are his wife, Connie Grandelli; a daughter, Danielle Grandelli and Joseph Garrett of Hayesville; a son, Richard Grandelli Jr. and wife, Katy of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a sister, Nancy Grandelli of Winter Park, Florida; three brothers, Gary Grandelli and wife, Trish of Cocoa Beach, Florida, Paulie Grandelli and wife, Merilyn of Long Island, New York, and Ernest Grandelli Jr. of Winter Park; a grandson, Rexton Grandelli; his ex-wife, Anne Grandelli; and many nieces and nephews.
