Jack B. Davis, 83, of Andrews passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County. He retired after 17 years with Mundy’s Lumber & Veneer as a boilerman. He attended Andrews Second Baptist Church. Jack loved his family and gardening.

 

He was the son of the late James Lewis and Viola Rowland Davis. He was preceded in death by a son, Jackie William Davis, who died November 21, 2001.

 

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Gail Bush Davis; a son, Chuck Davis of Andrews; a brother, Robert Davis of Robbinsville; four grandchildren, Brad Davis, Christie Dartez, Cassie West, and Carleigh Davis; and eight great grandchildren, Drew, Elijah, Kinsleigh, Addison, Bristol, Sydney, Lauren, and Riley.

 

Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 24, 2016 in the Andrews Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Watkins officiating. The interment was in Maltby Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chuck, Brad, Peewee, and Alan Davis, Stephen Dartez, Jasen West, and Shane Bush.

 

The family received friends from 1-2:45 Sunday afternoon at the Andrews Second Baptist Church prior to the services.
