David Michael Palmer, age 39, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was taken from us far too soon on Thursday, May 12, 2016 as the result of injuries sustained in a hit and run accident. He was a native of Arlington, Virginia. David and his wife met in elementary school, and were married in 2005. He was a carpenter by trade and built his own home in South Carolina. David was moving to Hayesville where he was planning to build his own home.  David loved to fish.

 

He was the son of the late Jimmy Edward and Mary Elizabeth Palmer.

 

Surviving are his wife, Angila Palmer of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a daughter, Ashley Patience Palmer of Laconia, New Hampshire; two brothers, Stephen E. Palmer and wife, Jennifer of Chesterfield, Virginia and Darryl E. Palmer of Inwood, West Virginia; an aunt, Janet Shoemaker of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and six nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored while spending time with them. He also loved animals especially pit bulls.  He had two pit bulls named Nini and Brooklyn.

 

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with Rev. Johnny Foster officiating. The interment was in the Hayesville First United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stephen Palmer, Gary Palmer, John Palmer, Robin Bryan, Franklin Hernandez, and Jim Simon.

 

The family received friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the service.

 

Family requests memorials be made to SPCA, 409 Bay Street, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.

My soul mate I miss you every minute of every day.....never in a million years did I ever think I would be a widow especially that way. All I can say is I had u as a best friend for 30yrs and a lover plus more for 16yrs....until we are together again just know w I think about our wild memories all the time. DnA ALWAYS&& 4evr my heart and soul. U r one of a kind and I'm glad I was the chosen one. Til our dying day, ARP

Man, I never saw this coming. I thought you were in the clear. I was happy for you. If I'm just gonna be seeing more and more friends go, as I get older, I might just have to drop out of touch w/ everyone, so I don't ever have to hear news like this. If there's something after this, I hope you're in a happy place. If not, well, you did more living than 10 regular people your age, so now, just rest easy. I'll miss you, old friend.
