Robert Eugene Gustin, age 90, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at a Hiawassee, Georgia care facility. Robert was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy.  He worked on the railroad for Seaboard Coast Line and Atlantic Coast Line for over 40 years. Robert was known for his sense of humor and the big smile that came with it.

He was the son of the late Leslie and Hazel Witt Gustin and the husband of the late Lorena Ruth Burton Gustin, who passed away November 10, 2015. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Margie Noel, Shirley Duvall, and Lillian Lehnert; and a brother, Billy Gustin.

Surviving are a daughter, Pam Roman and husband, Don of Hayesville; two sons, Robert M. Gustin of Dade City, Florida and Les E. Gustin and wife, Sue of Clearwater, Florida; two sisters, Velma Konz of Atlanta, Georgia and Norma Spencer of Franklin, North Carolina; and five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
