David Michael Carnahan, 54, of Escondido, California passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 in a Riverside, California hospital. He was a native of Escondido and the youngest of five children. David had worked as a mechanic at a Toyota dealership. David enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and working in his yard.
He was the son of Betty Carnahan of Hayesville and the late Jerry Carnahan. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Parker.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two sisters, Susan Martinez of Hayesville and Sandra Carnahan-Nipper of Alpharetta, Georgia; a brother, Thomas Carnahan of Escondido, California; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Meadow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Israel Rogers officiating. Pallbearers were Tommy Hooper, Donnie Martin, Elliott Arrowood, Greg Richter, Joshua McConnell, and Matt Mustin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of David Michael Carnahan to the Meadow Grove Baptist Church, 19 Meadow Grove Lane, Hayesville, NC 28904.
