William Horace Bradshaw, 74, of Hayesville died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at his residence. He was a native and lifetime resident of Clay County. He drove a school bus for 19 years and retired December 2, 1982, also as a custodian for Hayesville High School. Horace was a member and deacon of Sweetwater Baptist Church.
He was the son of Eula Mae Morgan Bradshaw of Hiawassee, GA and the late Marlor “Mutt” Bradshaw.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 51 years, Frances Dills Bradshaw; a daughter, Brenda Anderson and husband Jammy of Hayesville; two sons, William W. Bradshaw and wife Nancy of Andrews, and David R. Bradshaw and fiancé Mary of Hayesville; two sisters, Marlene Ledford and Ruby Dean Worley, both of Hayesville; four grandchildren, Lisa McKraken, Jack Bradshaw, Sarah Bradshaw, and T.J. Anderson; three great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Sweetwater Baptist Church with Rev. Gerry Graves officiating and Rev. Glenn Tanner speaking. Interment was in Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jammy Anderson, Jack Bradshaw, T.J. Anderson, Tony Worley, William Ledford, Nathan Allen, and Kevin McKraken.
The family received friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the Sweetwater Baptist Church.
The family requests memorials be made in memory of William Horace Bradshaw to the Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 191 Hummingbird Drive, Hayesville, NC 28904.

I am very sorry to hear of Horace's passing, but I know he is at home for sure now. I certainly have a lot of fond memories of Old "Rose" at the RC hunting club. We had a lot of fun and good times there with all of you. I will be praying for the entire family.
