Joseph Roy “J.R.” Wall, 18, of Marble died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at his residence. He was a native of Pasco County, FL, but had moved to this area in 1998. J.R. was a high school graduate and helped his father in the plumbing business. His hobbies included drawing, skate boarding, and hunting. He loved animals.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William J. and Emlie Dobbs Wall; and his maternal grandparents, Roy M. and Gladys Doughart Will.
Surviving are his parents, Joe and Grace Wall of Hayesville; two sisters, Carrieann Wall Davis and husband, Michael, and Sarah Wall all of Hayesville; a nephew, Michael Davis II; an aunt, Joanne Handstad; four uncles, Donald Handstad and wife, Valerie, Jerry Wall, Johnny Wall, and George Wall and wife, Evelyn; and his beloved dog, Blue.
Funeral services were held at 6:00 PM Friday, December 2 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Donald Cook officiating.
The family received friends from 4-5:45 Friday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Joseph Roy “J.R.” Wall to REACH of Cherokee County, PO Box 977, Murphy, NC 28906 or the Valley River Humane Society, 7450 US 19, Marble, NC 28905.

I am sooo sorry for your loss!!! I remember coaching J.R.'s baseball team. He was such a sweet kid!! You are in my thoughts and prayers!
